wow, that happened to me in Sitka once, we took off and we landed with the most awful smell! they had to fly a part into Sitka from Seattle so we sat in Sitka for 8 hours. Not so bad though, it happened to be Sitka Day! bagpippers, people in costume etc and the best pie in Alaska inside the Airport coffee shop, whole or a piece. not the best way to start a trip but you will get there, I am sure!
